The library was is located in the ancestral home of the White Family. Many of the Whites, especially Adelaide, were witches and leaders of large covens. We are one of the most haunted libraries in the world. Kesha and Anna Nicole Smith both claimed to have sex with a spirit here, possibly Adelaide White herself.
Who is Adelaide White? She is one of the many ghosts that supposedly haunt the Pussygalore Library. Decades before the White Family sold this mansion to Ms. Pussygalore (who turned it into a library), Adelaide was the family matriarch in the 19th century. She was a famous occultist and respected member of the spiritualist movement. They say she was also a witch and high priestess of a fertility cult, but there's no proof. Nevertheless, the townspeople would whisper about orgiastic parties attended by the governor and the hoi polloi.
Pretty young girls from the town often went missing. Nobody knew but everyone agreed that they were last seen here in Adelaide's mansion. The woman often sacrificed cows and horses. Did she sacrifice the girls? And why did she own so much leather, chains, and whips?
Unfortunately, this didn't end when she died. Evelyn had many children. (Remember the fertility cult?) It appears they followed in her footsteps.
